The North Dakota State University athletic department has partnered with Vet Tix and 1st Tix to provide complimentary event tickets to veterans, military members, and first responders, respectively.

This new partnership allows NDSU fans who are unable to use their tickets for upcoming athletic events, including football, volleyball, wrestling, and men’s and women’s basketball games, to donate tickets to Vet Tix. Tickets can be donated directly to Vet Tix by utilizing the online ticket transfer through your GoBison.com account. Transfers can be sent to Vet Tix using the email address donate@vettix.org. For more information on donating tickets, please visit GoBison.com/VetTix.

Vet Tix is a national nonprofit organization that distributes free event tickets to all military members and veterans of the U.S. military, and immediate family members of service members who died in the line of duty. Vet Tix provides free tickets to events that help reduce stress, strengthen family bonds, build life-long memories, and encourage service members and veterans to stay engaged with local communities and American life.

1st Tix, powered by Vet Tix, is the same program for first responders, including current and former law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs, registered nurses, and 9-1-1 dispatchers.

To kick off the partnership, NDSU Athletics will match all ticket donations to Vet Tix from Thursday, Sept. 26, through Wednesday, Oct. 2. All donated tickets will be used for the NDSU football team’s military appreciation match-up against the University of Northern Iowa on Saturday, Nov. 2. Tickets will be distributed to verified Vet Tix and 1st Tix members via VetTix.org.

About Vet Tix

The Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix) is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by veterans dedicated to supporting and honoring the U.S. military community, veterans, and their families. The Vet Tix mission is to “give something to those who gave.”  This is accomplished by distributing free tickets to sporting events, concerts, performing arts, and family activities aimed at improving mental welfare and enriching the lives of military service members veterans, and current and former first responders.

Attending events through Vet Tix helps to reduce stress, strengthens family bonds, builds life-long memories, and encourages service members to stay engaged with American life and local communities. These are gifts in which we can all take pride.

Vet Tix serves ALL branches of the U.S. military, including those currently serving, honorably discharged veterans and their families, as well as the immediate family of those killed in action. Since 2008, Vet Tix has given out more than 24 million tickets in all 50 states.
