ND Voters May Get Another Shot At Recreational Marijuana

BISMARCK, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – Supporters of legalizing recreational marijuana in North Dakota have made significant progress toward getting the issue on the November ballot. A group of 27 North Dakotans filed a ballot measure petition on April 16, 2024, aiming to legalize adult-use cannabis in the state.

The proposed measure would permit the establishment of adult-use cannabis businesses and allow North Dakotans aged 21 and older to legally purchase and possess marijuana.

The campaign behind the initiative reported on June 7, 2024, that it has already collected more than half of the signatures needed to place the measure on the ballot.

If successful, North Dakota voters will have another opportunity to decide on the legalization of recreational marijuana, following previous attempts to pass similar measures in the state.
