ND Legislators to Debate Implementing 10 Commandments in Schools Despite Legal Concerns

BISMARCK, ND (trfnews.i234.me) Despite legal warnings, North Dakota lawmakers are considering a bill that would allow the 10 Commandments to be posted in schools.
on the north dakota side of the border north dakota lawmakers are being warned that a bill seeking to shield schools and teachers from lawsuits arising from posting the 10 commandments in classrooms is unconstitutional attorneys and education officials say the bill would spur costly and unwinnable legal fights in federal court they told the house judiciary committee on wednesday that the bill likely violates the clause in the first amendment of the u.s constitution that prohibits the establishment of religion by government despite the cautionary advice the committee gave the legislation a do pass recommendation the full house will consider the bill later the senate approved the measure last month

  1. Good thing the 10 Commandments aren't a religion & a school district choosing to put them up somewhere isn't Congress establishing a religion. Any judge that rules against a school voluntarily posting the 10 Commandments (a part of the historical record) should have to come remove it him or herself and/or give himself a swirly

  2. The Ten Commandments posted on the screen are not from the Bible as written, see Exodus 20. A certain denomination didn't like the 2nd commandment-'don't bow down to graven images' , and they split the 10th into two parts.
