ND Highway Patrol Reports Large Methamphetamine Seizure Valued at $850,000

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) We have an update regarding a major drug bust by the North Dakota Highway Patrol this week. The Patrol now says the street value of the meth was $850,000.
we now have an update regarding a major meth seizure out on Interstate 29 just south of Grand Forks near Thompson earlier this week we initially reported estimated drug value of over four hundred thousand dollars uh the North Dakota Highway Patrol now says the street value of the meth seized is eight hundred fifty thousand dollars uh this from the highway patrol on Tuesday at 8 35 PM a State Trooper made a routine traffic stop on I-29 one mile south of Thompson the vehicle was a 2017 Nissan Altima during the traffic stop the trooper developed probable cause to believe there were illegal drugs in the vehicle a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of approximately 22.6 pounds of meth concealed inside the spare tire thirty-year-old Julian Madrigal and 26 year old Alexa Martinez both from Chicago were arrested and charged federally with the following charges conspiracy to destroy tribute and possess with intent to distribute Controlled Substances possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine 500 grams or more North Dakota Ohio Patrol was assisted by the Grand Forks narcotics task force along with the Grand Forks County Sheriff’s office again the estimated street value of the drugs is eight hundred fifty thousand dollars I’m Neil Berg reporting for itrfnews.i234.me
