WILLISTON, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A tragic dispute over a mere $100 has led to a murder charge for a Tioga, North Dakota couple. According to court documents, Tyler and Kaylie Langved have each been charged with Class AA Murder, the most severe charge in North Dakota, which carries a maximum sentence of life without parole.
On Sunday, February 2nd, the couple allegedly went to 322 5th Street West, Apartment #2, in Williston, ND, with the intention of collecting a $100 debt owed to Tyler Langved. Both were reportedly armed when they entered the residence.
The criminal complaint states that once inside, Kaylie Langved allegedly pistol-whipped Daniel Lowe, causing a broken nose. Lowe then witnessed Tyler Langved shoot Chad Kyllonen twice in the chest, resulting in Kyllonen’s death.
After the shooting, Lowe was rushed to the hospital with injuries, while the Langveds fled the scene. Within hours, authorities arrested the couple in Tioga, where they live. Both suspects are currently held without bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 12th, where a judge will determine if enough evidence exists to proceed to trial. If convicted, both Tyler and Kaylie Langved could face life in prison without parole.
