Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in I-94 Construction Zone, Faces DUI Charges

FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) — A 39-year-old female motorcyclist sustained serious injuries Monday evening, September 16, after her motorcycle tipped over in a construction zone on I-94, and she was run over by a camper trailer.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reported that the accident occurred around 8:36 p.m. in the area between University Drive and the Red River Bridge. Traffic was moving slowly due to ongoing road construction when the motorcyclist lost control of her vehicle. The motorcycle tipped to the right, throwing her into the middle of the road.

Tragically, a camper trailer being towed by a pickup truck ran over the woman and dragged her a short distance. She was transported to Sanford Health with serious, though non-life-threatening, injuries.

In addition to her injuries, the motorcyclist now faces charges of DUI and driving without a motorcycle endorsement on her license. The North Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
