Motorcyclist Injured in Collision with Deer in Rural Polk County

Polk County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – On Sunday afternoon, a motorcyclist was injured after his motorcycle collided with a deer in rural Polk County. Duane Keith Hendrickson, 62, of Lake Park, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Riverview Hospital in Crookston, according to a report by the Minnesota State Patrol.

At the time of the accident, Hendrickson was riding a 2004 Harley-Davidson Cruiser northbound on Highway 32 at the intersection with 390th Street in Godfrey Township. The report noted that he was not wearing a helmet.

The State Patrol was dispatched to the scene at 12:56 p.m. Sunday, along with Polk County EMS, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, and the Fertile Fire Department.
