Motorcyclist Airlifted After Collision with Car in Rice County – trfnews.i234.me

Webster Township, Rice County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — On Sunday, May 25, 2025, a serious two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 19 and Dent Avenue in Webster Township, Rice County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, both vehicles—a 2014 Hyundai Elantra and a 2016 Harley-Davidson FLTRX Touring motorcycle—were traveling eastbound on Highway 19 when they collided at the intersection with Dent Avenue.

The motorcyclist, identified as 40-year-old Andrew Steven Rogers of Lonsdale, MN, sustained life-threatening injuries. He was airlifted by North Memorial Aircare to Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) for emergency treatment.

The driver of the Hyundai, 53-year-old Lance Eric Benninghoff, also from Lonsdale, was uninjured in the crash. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.

Road conditions were reported as dry at the time of the accident. Responding agencies included the Lonsdale Police & Fire Departments, Northfield Ambulance, and North Memorial Aircare.
