Motorcycle Crash on Highway 61 Injures Inver Grove Heights Man | trfnews.i234.me

Pepin Township, Wabasha County (trfnews.i234.me) – A collision between a Honda Accord and a Kawasaki ZX1000 sport motorcycle on Highway 61 at milepost 66 resulted in injuries for one rider late Friday morning, July 11, 2025.

At approximately 11:42 a.m., the 2006 Honda Accord, driven by Joseph Raymond Roche, 52, of Lake City, was traveling northbound, while the 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle, driven by Nathan John Cota, 40, of Inver Grove Heights, was heading southbound when the two vehicles collided.

Roche was uninjured, while Cota was transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Cota was wearing a helmet, and no alcohol was involved in the incident.

The Wabasha Fire Department, ambulance services, and Lake City Police Department responded to the scene. The road was dry at the time of the crash.
