Morton Co. Woman Hurt In I-94 Crash
MORTON COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) — A woman from Hebron suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 94 in Morton County on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 4:59 p.m. on October 1 near mile marker 115, east of Glen Ullin. A 2011 Chevy Traverse was heading westbound when it left the roadway, entered the median, and vaulted off an embankment between the eastbound and westbound bridge decks. The vehicle came to rest in a slough.
The driver, a 61-year-old woman from Hebron, was wearing her seatbelt. She suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to CHI St. Alexius in Bismarck for treatment.
Responding agencies included the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Morton County Sheriff’s Office, Glen Ullin Ambulance, Metro Ambulance, and the Glen Ullin Fire Department. Road and weather conditions at the time were reported as dry.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Highway Patrol. Authorities have not said if charges will be filed.
