Morrison County — GMC Yukon Goes Airborne in Swanville Crash

CULDRUM TWP, Morrison County (trfnews.i234.me) — On March 12, 2025, at approximately 5:38 p.m., a serious crash occurred on Highway 28 near milepost 128 in Culdrum Township. A 2007 GMC Yukon traveling northbound veered off the roadway, struck a field approach, went airborne, rolled, and came to rest on its roof.

The driver, 69-year-old Ruth Ann Sumner from Little Falls, MN, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to St. Gabriel’s Hospital. Authorities confirmed that the airbag deployed, the driver was wearing a seatbelt, and alcohol was not involved.

Responding agencies included Swanville First Responders, Morrison County Sheriff’s Department, and Mayo Ambulance.
