Clay County, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) – A Fargo woman is facing two felony DWI charges after allegedly being found drunk behind the wheel in Moorhead and later refusing a chemical test while barricading herself in a jail bathroom.

According to a criminal complaint, Germanie Olivier, 30, was stopped around 1:04 a.m. on May 19, 2025, after driving without headlights and sitting motionless at a green light. Officers noted she had bloodshot, glossy eyes, slurred speech, and smelled of alcohol.

Olivier refused to turn off her vehicle or exit voluntarily, prompting officers to physically remove her. Once at the Clay County Jail, she barricaded herself in a bathroom for 20 minutes, refusing to comply with a breath test and repeatedly invoking her sister, whom she claimed was a police officer.

Due to her obstructionist behavior, authorities considered her refusal as noncompliance under Minnesota’s implied consent laws. She has four prior DWI convictions in North Dakota, elevating these new charges to felony first-degree DWI, punishable by up to 7 years in prison and/or a $14,000 fine per count.
