Jamal Ahmed has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Franky Torres. According to the criminal complaint, Moorhead police responded to a call about a man with a gunshot wound at 9111 18th Street South. Upon arrival, officers found Torres with a gunshot wound to the head; he was later pronounced dead at the hospital. A female witness, who claimed she was sexually assaulted by Ahmed (known to her as “Nunu”), stated that she had called Torres for help. Torres and another individual arrived at the scene, leading to a confrontation during which Torres was fatally shot.
