Moorhead, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) — Authorities are investigating the death of a 20-month-old child from Moorhead, Minnesota, which has been deemed suspicious. The child was brought unresponsive to Sanford Medical Center by family members on Thursday, May 15, where life-saving efforts were unsuccessful.
The Cass County Coroner’s Office in North Dakota notified the Moorhead Police Department about the suspicious nature of the death. In response, Moorhead Police secured the family’s residence in the 1100 block of 18½ Street South. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) is assisting with the investigation, processing the scene for evidence.
The child’s body has been transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
