Moorhead, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Christopher Pink, a Moorhead man previously convicted of criminal vehicular homicide, has been sentenced to 85 months and 15 days in prison for a head-on crash that killed a woman and her dog on February 22.
Pink, 38, pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide while under the influence of alcohol in May. His sentence includes credit for 143 days already served.
Incident Details:
According to court documents:
-
Pink had left a Moorhead Buffalo Wild Wings, where receipts confirmed he had purchased multiple alcoholic beverages.
-
Video evidence showed him consuming alcohol, taking shots, and stumbling before getting into his car and driving away.
-
Pink was driving the wrong way in the southbound lanes of Highway 75 when he collided head-on with a Jeep.
-
The driver, 43-year-old Jennifer Watson from Texas, was found dead in the driver’s seat. A dog was also found motionless in the vehicle and died on the way to an animal hospital in Fargo.
Pink’s prior conviction for driving while impaired in January 2019 was also noted in the case.
The crash remains a tragic reminder of the dangers of impaired driving.
