NORMAN COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — Tyler L. Swenson, 33, of Moorhead, is facing multiple charges after allegedly firing a handgun from his moving vehicle near Twin Valley on April 11. Law enforcement responded to reports of a vehicle traveling at high speeds with shots being fired from the window.
Upon stopping the vehicle in Twin Valley, officers discovered a 9mm handgun and shell casings inside. A passenger informed authorities that Swenson was the driver and had fired approximately 10 to 15 rounds. Swenson failed a field sobriety test and admitted to discharging the firearm.
He has been charged with felony intentional discharge of a firearm that endangers others, gross misdemeanor carrying a pistol without a permit, misdemeanor carrying a pistol under the influence, and misdemeanor driving while impaired.
