FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A Moorhead man will serve 8 years in prison for aggravated assault with a firearm after pleading guilty to a shooting incident in Fargo last year. Cordell McFadden was arrested in March following a shooting near South High School.
On March 30th, Fargo police responded to a report of gunfire in the early morning. Officers were later dispatched to a hospital where a person had been admitted with a gunshot wound to the chest. Investigators determined that McFadden and the victim had been involved in an argument before the shooting occurred.
McFadden was taken into custody later that day. As part of a plea deal, an attempted murder charge was dismissed.
