Moorhead, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) – A Moorhead man is facing first-degree burglary and assault charges after a disturbing attack inside a local apartment on the morning of July 5.
Court documents reveal the victim was lying on his couch when he heard his door open and a man, later identified as Damon Taylor, said, “The devil is in me,” before attacking. Taylor allegedly punched the man, bit his thumb hard enough to draw blood, and the victim fought back, biting Taylor on the jaw.
A nearby security guard intervened, and police later found Taylor speaking incoherently and covered in dried blood. He admitted to using alcohol and marijuana.
Taylor was taken to jail in a WRAP restraint and now faces up to 20 years in prison and/or a $35,000 fine for first-degree burglary and assault.
