Moorhead (trfnews.i234.me) — A chilling case out of Moorhead has left the community stunned. Amy Kelly-Skeie, a resident of 3834 31st Street South, is now facing serious charges, including second-degree attempted murder.
According to a statement of probable cause, on March 15th at 2:32 a.m., law enforcement responded to the emergency room in Fargo, where a man was undergoing surgery for stab wounds that nearly cost him his life. The victim, who is married to Kelly-Skeie, told officers that the couple had been drinking and arguing the night before. The dispute escalated when Kelly allegedly attacked him with a knife after an argument about her kissing another man.
The victim reported, “I figured I needed to de-escalate the situation, and I got stabbed.” After suffering two stab wounds — one to the shoulder and one under the armpit that required surgery — he even asked Kelly to fetch a towel to avoid getting blood on the carpet.
Kelly-Skeie now faces charges of second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault with great bodily harm, and second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.
