Moorhead, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) — Police say a months-long narcotics case led to two arrests.
They say several search warrants were served this week in Moorhead and Fargo.
What the police say happened
The Moorhead Police Department said it worked with the Cass County Drug Task Force.
Police said it also worked with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and a local DEA office.
Police said the team carried out multiple search warrants as part of the investigation.
Investigators said the suspects rented several short-term rentals to move drugs.
Police said the rentals were through Airbnb in Moorhead and Fargo.


Arrests and charges
Moorhead police said Harold Bowen Jr., 49, of St. Cloud, Florida, was arrested on Thursday, January 15.
Moorhead police said Malcolm Parker, 34, of Chicago, was also arrested that day.
They face felony counts of first-degree controlled substance crime and being an ineligible person in possession of a firearm.

Police said both men were taken to the Clay County Jail.

All charges are allegations. The defendants are presumed innocent in court.
What was seized
Police said the searches turned up:
- About 1.6 pounds of methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of $12,500.
- About $14,000 in cash.
- One 9mm handgun.
- 12 high-value bicycles and e-bikes.
- A small amount of marijuana in Fargo.
Short-term rental reminder
Police urged short-term rental owners to watch for warning signs.
They said owners can verify identity and talk with guests before approval.
