Mom Charged With Attempting To Murder Son, Says “Demons” Made Her Do It!


THIEF RIVER FALLS, MN (trfnews.i234.me) A rural Thief River Falls, Minnesota woman has been charged with Attempted Murder and Assault, after allegedly trying to cut her son’s throat. Formal charges have now been filed against Edwina Stoutenburgh.
A chilling tale out of Pennington County, Minnesota. Formal charges have now been filed against Edwina Marie Stoenberg. Uh charges of attempted secondderee murder without intent and secondderee assault. A child victim in this case escaped with nonlife-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff. of reading from the statement of probable cause with the names of uh others omitted. Quote, “On the morning of July 20th, the sheriff’s office responded to a residence within Pennington County due to a report of a child’s throat being cut. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with a vehicle parked at the end of the driveway that contained juveniles. Law enforcement was able to confirm all the juveniles in question were present and safe in the vehicle. Deputies proceeded to the residence and observed an adult female identified as Aduina Marie Stoenberg standing outside in very little clothing. Due to the nature of the call, Stoenberg was detained in handcuffs. Stoenberg says, quote, “Don’t take them off,” unquote. During the interaction at the home, Stoenberg stated several times that they made her do various things. It was learned that the they Stoenberg was referring to were demons. Stoenberg was transported to the emergency room. Once at the emergency room, Stoenberg gave a statement to law enforcement. Stoenberg advised when she woke up that morning. She had demons inside of her back inside of her that took over. Stoenberg in described how the demons were made her eat a piece of dog feces which he described as disgusting. Stoenberg indicated the family had a sick duck that was put down the day prior and the demons made her cut open the duck’s head and eat one of the eyes, which she also described as disgusting. Stoenberg indicated she did not want to hurt her children, but they made her grab the knife from the kitchen and go up to the room of her son. Stoenberg said they wanted me wanted her to uh drink his blood and that they told her to kill the rest of the children. Her husband when he got home from work and herself. Uh Stoenberg indicated that her son was in his bed sleeping. Stoenberg described rolling him over with her left hand while the knife was in her right hand, pulling his head back and slicing his throat. Uh Stoenberg indicated she made contact with the victim’s neck, but the knife was too dull to slice through it. Stoenberg said they told her to go downstairs to sharpen the knife. Again, the sheriff has confirmed the victim in this uh suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Back to the statement of probable cause. Stoenberg indicated she went downstairs, sharpened the knife, and was headed back upstairs, but stopped in the stairwell. Stoenberg said her children were freaking out and they made her tell the children she was going to kill them, too. Stoenberg indicated she tried to drop the knife, but could not. Stoenberg described showing the children the decapitated duck’s head. Stoenberg reported that she tried to slice the victim’s throat open with the same knife she used on the duck. Stoenberg stated she told the children that they had to leave and gave them the keys to the vehicle. Stoenberg reported this is the first time she has heard these voices for a long time and she has never wanted to hurt her children before and that she cannot control the voices. Stoenberg stated she thought everyone was going to die. Stoenberg said the demon’s names were bondage and infirmity. Stoenberg’s husband arrived at the residence and gave deputies consent to search the home. Deputy observed a severed duck’s head on a blue cutting board next to a bloodied spoon. A chef’s knife with what appeared to be blood on it was located in the kitchen sink. Stoenberg’s husband reported he was at work when he received a frantic call from his wife uh where she indicated they were taking over her body and telling her to kill the children. Stoenberg’s husband then contacted law enforcement. Investigators took a statement from victim one at the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office. Uh the victim reported that Stoenberg had attempted to cut his throat. The victim had apparent marks on his neck. Again, that was from the statement of probable cause uh as to what happened according to the prosecutor’s office.
