Molly Yeh raises funds for Farm in the Dell with cookbook sale – InForum

EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. — Cook and

restaurant owner Molly Yeh

is sweetening the deal on pre-orders of her new cookbook.

Yeh announced that in the spirit of Cyber Monday and Giving Tuesday, she would be donating proceeds from sales of “Sweet Farm!” ordered Dec. 2 and 3 to Farm in the Dell of the Red River Valley.

The Moorhead farm gives those with and without disabilities a look and feel for agriculture and helps with food education. The organization employs around 25 people with disabilities, growing crops for sale through its CSA program.

The Food Network star of “Girl Meets Farm” owns and operates Bernie’s in East Grand Forks, Minn., where she lives. This is Yeh’s third cookbook and will be released in March.

The book, including signed copies, is available through her website, mynameisyeh.com.

“‘Sweet Farm!’ is all about my favorite thing to make: sweets!” Yeh said on her website. ”I was born to write this book and I can’t wait to share it with you. This book features cookies, bars, salads, dessert for breakfast, cakes, pies, no bake sweets, and drinks, ranging from 5-minute treats to big weekend projects. My favorites are: chewy frosted tahini cookies, black sesame babka, rhubarb rose bars, blueberry cream cheese bagel chip salad, saffron cardamom tiramisu, marzipan soda, and a brand new sprinkle cake!”

Earlier this year, Yeh donated proceeds from a wardrobe sale to Farm in the Dell.

“With our aligned visions of supporting people and celebrating local food, it’s an absolute honor to partner with Bernies. It’s been an absolute joy to collaborate on this event, and we are so deeply grateful for their support, ” Farm in the Dell Executive Director Anna Sather said at the time.
