Warren (trfnews.i234.me)— A Minnesota woman has been sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to felony first-degree sale of a controlled substance in Pennington County.
Authorities say Krista Rachelle Bergeron, 33, sold approximately 30 grams of methamphetamine to an informant on two separate occasions. She was sentenced on March 3 to 48 months in prison, significantly lower than the state’s sentencing guideline recommendation of 56 to 150 months.
Bergeron’s co-defendant, Ethan Alexander Johnson, faces separate charges of felony third-degree controlled substance sale and gross misdemeanor fifth-degree possession.
Due to a downward durational sentence, Bergeron will serve at least 32 months in custody before being eligible for supervised release. She was credited 104 days for time served and will be transferred to the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Shakopee.
This case highlights ongoing drug enforcement efforts in the region, with officials urging the public to report illegal drug activity.
