When I got the flier in the mail, I cried. I was adopted in Wisconsin, and would love my original record, but have only managed to get a kind clerk to change my place of birth after 24 years of it being changed to reflect someone else's timeline. I also am a birth parent. My daughter will be 18 in a few years and I didnt know how I could go about contacting her. I hope that when these adoptees go to look for their birth parents, finding contact info waiting will help comfort them. Adoption is not the fairy tale ending. You can get wonderful supportive family through adoption, but that doesnt stop the wondering about who and why.
