NORMAN COUNTY, MINN. (trfnews.i234.me) – Kevin Yungen, a resident of rural Gary, Minnesota, has been charged with five felonies following a confrontation involving two deer hunters.
According to court documents, a Norman County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a call on Sunday from two individuals who reported an incident while hunting on their property. They observed a vehicle driving slowly near their location, with the driver reportedly staring at them. One of the victims identified the vehicle as belonging to the nearby Yungen farm. Shortly after, three rapid gunshots were heard, followed by an amplified voice allegedly warning them to leave.
The victims left the area and contacted authorities. Upon investigation, Yungen admitted to firing the shots, stating he was scaring deer away from his yard but denied making any verbal threats. A shotgun shell wad was discovered at a location inconsistent with Yungen’s account of events.
Yungen faces five felony charges, including Threats of Violence and Intentional Discharge of a Firearm.
