Minneapolis (trfnews.i234.me) — A 37-year-old woman was killed Wednesday during an ICE operation in south Minneapolis.
What happened
City officials said the shooting happened near East 34th Street and Portland Avenue, just after 9:30 a.m.
Minneapolis firefighters pulled the woman from her vehicle and started life-saving care.
She was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where she later died.
The Minneapolis City Council identified her as Renee Nicole Macklin Good, 37.
Federal officials said an ICE agent fired after the driver used her vehicle as a weapon.
About the victim
Family members said Good was a mother of three and a U.S. citizen.
They said she moved to Minneapolis after living in Kansas City, Missouri.
Her family said she had just dropped off her young son at school.

Conflicting accounts on the video
Assistant DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said “rioters” blocked ICE vehicles during targeted operations.
She said the driver tried to run over agents, and the shooting was self-defense.
But Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said he reviewed the video and rejected that explanation.
Videos shared publicly show agents approaching the SUV and pulling at the driver’s door.
The vehicle moves a short distance before shots are fired into the driver’s side window.
Local video analysis said the agent was several feet from the SUV at the gunfire moment.
Investigation and response
Minneapolis police said there is no sign Good was a target of an investigation.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the FBI are investigating the shooting.
Gov. Tim Walz said he issued a warning order to prepare the Minnesota National Guard.
Walz urged peaceful protest and said the state wants a full investigation.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem called the incident “domestic terrorism” at a briefing.
Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said she wants a local and transparent review.
By Wednesday night, a large vigil formed near the shooting scene.
