Minneapolis Woman Charged in Bemidji Meth Trafficking Case
BEMIDJI, MN ( trfnews.i234.me ) — A Minneapolis woman is facing serious drug trafficking charges after being stopped by authorities in Bemidji last week.
According to Beltrami County court documents, Kari A. White of Minneapolis was pulled over by law enforcement on October 15th along Highway 71 near Horace May Elementary School on Bemidji’s south end. The stop was part of an ongoing investigation by the Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force.
Authorities say White failed a field sobriety test during the traffic stop. A search of her vehicle revealed approximately 37 grams of methamphetamine, including packaging and plastic baggies consistent with drug sales. Officers also reported signs of impairment at the scene.
White has now been charged with felony first-degree sale of 17 grams or more of meth within 90 days and misdemeanor DWI. She was taken into custody and transported to the Beltrami County Jail.
Officials say the Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force continues to focus on identifying and disrupting meth distribution networks in the region. The case remains under investigation as authorities work to determine if others were involved in the operation.
