we’ve had a drowning in leech lake minnesota in cass county minnesota this in from cass county minnesota sheriff tom bursch who reports on thursday at 12 50 p.m they respond received a report of a male party struggling in the water near the sand point area of leech lake in rural walker minnesota the reporter indicated seeing the mail party in the water near a pontoon but as they got closer reported could no longer see or locate the male party in the water deputies arrived on the scene and located the pontoon and immediately began searching the area at 2 14 p.m the body of an adult male age 65 of oak grove minnesota was located in the water deceased victim identification is being withheld petty notification of family members an autopsy is pending with the ramsey county medical examiner’s office assisting with the search for the leech lake tribal police department and conservation officers from the minnesota dnr i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
