Minneapolis Man Arrested for Producing Machine Guns Using 3D Printing Technology, Dubbed “Ghost Guns”

25 year old aaron cato of north minneapolis has been charged with using a 3d printer to manufacture machine guns more specifically auto sears uh the parts used to turn a semi-automatic weapon into a fully automatic weapon ghost guns this from the department of justice quote minneapolis man has been charged in a federal criminal complaint for possessing auto sears and using 3d printers to manufacture auto sears again those are machine gun parts out of his minneapolis residence announced u.s attorney andrew luger according to court documents on august 31st law enforcement conducted a controlled delivery of a package containing 30 firearm parts to aaron cato 25 at his minneapolis residence the package which has been shipped from taiwan and intercepted by custom and border protection agents contained enough parts to create 10 auto sears a device that turns a semi-automatic firearm into a fully automatic firearm and is considered a machine gun under federal law upon searching cato’s home pursuant to a warrant law enforcement recovered seven firearms including five handguns and two ar platform firearms three of the handguns were equipped with auto sears and appear to be privately made firearms or ghost guns law enforcement also found inside cato’s residence four 3d printers and multiple 3d printed auto sears cato is charged in a criminal complaint with possession of machine guns he made his initial appearance in a u.s district court and was ordered to remain in detention pending further proceedings i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me

  1. In the 200 plus years of the USA, it has NEVER been against the law to build your own firearm.
    The term "ghost gun" is a insult to anyone who bothers to really think about this issue.
    Sterilized fire control components are used in these weapons.
    Ghost guns do not exist!
    The ATF has been trying to change the existing "verbiage" that "they" put in place decades ago. The only thing that this guy did that was illegal was making an
    "auto sear". All the scary words are just liberals trying to infringe on the Second Ammendment.
    They really don't care what the Constitution says, as the Supreme Court has ruled on lots of this crap. The gun grabbers keep making up scary words, like "Assault Weapons".
    A knife is a "Assault Weapon". A screw driver can be used as a Assault Weapon.
    A lot less drama please.
