Becker County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Kevin Donald Turck, 58, from Minneapolis, has been charged with felony first-degree drug possession and misdemeanor DWI in Becker County District Court. On August 25, 2024, the Becker County Sheriff’s Office was notified by a special agent that Turck might be transporting narcotics through the area.
Around 2 a.m. that day, a sheriff’s officer observed Turck’s vehicle on County Highway 22, having just turned from US Highway 59. After following the vehicle, the officer noted erratic driving and initiated a traffic stop near 270th Avenue. Field sobriety tests showed poor results.
A search of Turck’s vehicle revealed approximately 184 grams of methamphetamine, primarily hidden in socks inside the front seat headrests. Turck, previously convicted of a first-degree drug sale in 2017, was ordered held without bail after a plea hearing on November 26. His sentencing is scheduled for January 30 before District Judge Gretchen Thilmony.
