MINNEAPOLIS, Hennepin County — Teen Driver Ejected in High-Speed I-94 Flip Crash!

MINNEAPOLIS, Hennepin County (trfnews.i234.me) — A terrifying single-vehicle crash rocked Interstate 94 in north Minneapolis just before 5:30 a.m. on March 27, 2025, leaving an 18-year-old woman in critical condition.

Tytrice Sakinah Thorpe of Minneapolis was driving a 2013 Hyundai Elantra at a high rate of speed in the center-left lane of westbound I-94 when she lost control of the vehicle. The car veered off to the right, plunged into the ditch, struck the right sound wall, and flipped, ultimately coming to rest on its roof in live traffic lanes.

Thorpe was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained life-threatening injuries. She was transported to North Memorial Hospital. No alcohol was involved, and the airbags were deployed.

Wet road conditions likely played a role in the crash. The emergency response included North Ambulance and Minneapolis PD.
