DETROIT LAKES, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A suspected Minneapolis drug trafficker was apprehended by the Becker County Sheriff’s Office after a timely tip from a special agent led to his arrest near Detroit Lakes. Kevin Turck, 58, was taken into custody in the early hours of August 25th after deputies were alerted that he would be passing through the area.
Turck was spotted driving erratically on County Highway 22, just off Highway 59, at approximately 2:00 a.m. Deputies conducted a traffic stop and discovered 184 grams of methamphetamine in his possession. The significant quantity led to a felony charge of first-degree possession of 50 grams or more of meth, a charge that carries a minimum sentence of four years in prison.
In addition to the drug charges, Turck is also facing a misdemeanor DWI charge for driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
The Becker County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the case, and Turck remains in custody as legal proceedings move forward.
