Pennington County, MN (trfnews.i234.me)—On December 20 at 11:40 a.m., the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a single-vehicle accident near the intersection of Center Street East and 300th Avenue Northeast. Michael Jelen of Grygla was driving a 2009 Dodge pickup westbound on Center Street East when a deer crossed the roadway. Jelen applied the brakes, causing the vehicle to lose control on the icy surface. The pickup entered the south ditch and rolled over, coming to rest on its wheels. Jelen was transported to Sanford Medical Center in Thief River Falls with unspecified injuries.
