Court documents say the call came in early Sunday, February 2, at about 2:38 a.m.
A deputy responded to an apartment building in Mayville.
The deputy found Vetter near the apartment door, according to the documents.
A resident told authorities he was asleep inside the unit.
He said he woke up to someone talking outside.
He also said he felt someone pushing on him.
The resident told Vetter to leave, the documents say.
He would not leave, so the resident called 911.
The resident told authorities that Vetter talked about his faith.
The resident also reported missing items afterward.
He said a bottle of vodka was gone.
He also said some food was missing.
Court documents say Vetter’s vehicle was outside.
The vehicle was running when the deputy arrived.
Authorities also reported the keys were in Vetter’s pocket.

Charges filed
Vetter was arrested at the scene, according to the documents.
He is charged with felony burglary.
He is also charged with misdemeanor driving under suspension.
Burglary is a serious charge in North Dakota.
State law generally covers entering or staying in an occupied structure without permission.
The charge can also involve an intent to commit a crime inside.
