Beltrami County (trfnews.i234.me) – A group of masked trespassers, including Haley Jane Faughn, 19, of Cass Lake, are now facing gross misdemeanor charges after a nighttime break-in at Bemidji High School on September 17, 2024.
According to a criminal complaint, Bemidji Police responded to reports of multiple people inside the school around 1:46 AM. Four individuals—including Faughn, Kolton Corrick, Hunter Schoenheit, and a juvenile—had allegedly arrived in a white sedan and entered the school while wearing masks.
Police say the group roamed the halls, took photos, and “horsed around” before fleeing when they heard the janitor’s keys. No damage was found, and all parties admitted they knew they weren’t allowed inside. None of them were enrolled at the school.
Faughn is charged under Minnesota Statute 609.605.4(c), which covers group trespassing on school property—punishable by up to 364 days in jail or a $3,000 fine.
