Martin County (trfnews.i234.me) — A South Dakota man was injured after his 2024 Chevy K2500 pickup left Interstate 90 and crashed into a ditch under snow and ice-covered conditions in Rutland Township, Martin County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Herman George Decker, age 63, from Olivet, SD, was traveling eastbound on I-90 near milepost 103 when his vehicle slid off the highway into the right ditch around 10:46 a.m. on March 19, 2025.
Decker, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Fairmont Hospital by Mayo Ambulance.
Responding agencies included the Martin County Sheriff’s Office and Mayo Ambulance. Authorities confirmed that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
