Pennington County ( trfnews.i234.me ) – A Strandquist man has been arrested following a traffic stop in the early morning hours of August 23. Police say the stop occurred at 2:34 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 1 and Cardinal Avenue.

According to the citation, 25-year-old Eli Bruce Johnson of Strandquist was taken into custody and cited for fourth-degree DWI. A preliminary breath test administered at the scene reportedly showed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.13. The legal limit in Minnesota is 0.08.

Johnson was transported following the arrest, and formal charges will move forward in Pennington County District Court. No injuries or crashes were reported during the incident.

Fourth-degree DWI is a misdemeanor offense under Minnesota law, usually applied to first-time offenders without aggravating circumstances. Penalties can include fines, possible jail time, and loss of driving privileges. More information about Minnesota DWI laws is available at the Minnesota Office of Traffic Safety.
