Marlin “Jake” Leroy Jacobson, 83, passed away on Sunday, July 21, surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Marlin was born on December 2, 1940, to Harvey and Inez (York) Jacobson in Perth, ND.
He graduated from Egeland High School and went on to receive a degree in Business Administration from the University of North Dakota. Marlin was married to the love of his life, Sally (Martin), for 61 years. Together, they raised three children: Rob (Kim) Jacobson, Wesley (Dana) Jacobson, and Kathleen (Kim) Pedersen. Marlin loved his wife, children, and ten grandchildren with all his heart.
Marlin was preceded in death by his parents, brother (Harlen), sisters-in-law (Deanna, Joyce, Bonieta), and granddaughters (Martell and Natalie Jacobson; Nora Pedersen).
Marlin is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren (Sydney, Reed, and Tate Jacobson; Bryn Jacobson and Madilyn Wood; Kamilla and Annika Pedersen).
Funeral services will be held at Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd Street, Grand Forks, on Thursday, July 25 at 11 a.m. with Visitation one hour prior. Interment will immediately follow at Emerado Cemetery.
