Wannaska – Marian A. Loken, 94 of Wannaska passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026 at LifeCare Medical Center in Roseau with family by her side.
Marian Agnes Loken, 94, of Roseau, passed away in Roseau.
Marian was born on September 27, 1931, in Warren. She grew up in Roseau County and attended through the eighth grade at U5 Reine Township school.
On September 14, 1950, Marian was united in marriage to Arthur Clarence Loken in Wannaska. The couple made their home in the Roseau area.
Marian worked at Polaris Industries for nearly 26 years before retiring on May 29, 1998.
She enjoyed many hobbies throughout her life, including camping, fishing, crocheting, playing cards and bingo, and playing games. Marian especially enjoyed visiting with people — the coffee was always on, and she loved welcoming anyone who stopped by. She also enjoyed spending time tending to her flowers, going out to eat, taking golf cart rides, and searching for treasures at garage sales. Marian loved dancing and listening to music and was always ready for an adventure.
She is survived by her family, including Mylan (Wendy) of Wannaska, Mike (Sharman) of Roseau, and Milo of Wannaska; son-in-law Bill Ellis of Warroad; sister-in-law Marlys Olson of Roseau; along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; her parents, Lee and Olava Morey; daughter Linda; son Mark; grandson Derrick; daughter-in-law Carrie; and her brother, Floyd Morey.
A memorial service for Marian will be held at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau on March, 14, 2026 at 11A.M.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the Funeral Home.
