Mandan (trfnews.i234.me) – A Mandan man has been convicted twice for possessing extreme child pornography, including images of children as young as 2 years old, and is now permanently registered as a moderate-risk sex offender in Morton County.
According to court records, Robert Franklin Hopp, also known as “Bob” or “Bobby,” was first convicted in 2010 at the age of 19 for possessing thousands of images depicting 12-to 15-year-old females. He received a 5-year sentence, with 4 years suspended and 5 years supervised probation.
Just three years later, in 2013, Hopp was convicted again, this time for possessing pornographic images and videos of children aged 2 to 14. He was sentenced to 5 years, with 1 year and 83 days credit, served concurrently with a previous conviction.
Hopp is listed as a 220-pound, 5’8″ white male with black hair, brown eyes, and multiple scars, including on his chest, head, right shoulder, and eyebrow.
He currently resides at 105 9th Ave NW, Mandan, North Dakota. His lifetime registration on the North Dakota Sex Offender Registry ensures that the public remains informed of his whereabouts.
