Orr, MN (trfnews.i234.me)A man is presumed dead after a house fire engulfed a home in Leiding Township early Thursday morning.

According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, emergency responders arrived at the scene just before 7 a.m. on the 3500 block of Highway 119, approximately nine miles southwest of Orr.

Wife Escapes, Husband Missing

  • A 57-year-old woman called 911, reporting that the house was on fire and she could not find her husband.
  • When firefighters and deputies arrived, they found the home completely engulfed in flames.
  • The woman was able to escape, but her husband—also 57—was last seen awake inside the house.
  • Authorities believe he never made it out.

Home Destroyed, Cause Under Investigation
