CASS COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) – Kedrick Baker has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after being found guilty of a brutal rape at a homeless camp last August.

On Monday, June 23, a judge handed down the sentence, which includes credit for 325 days already served and five years of probation following release. Baker must also register as a sex offender.

According to court records, Baker was charged with:

  1. Gross sexual imposition

  2. Attempted gross sexual imposition

  3. Felonious restraint of an adult victim

  4. Preventing arrest

A jury found Baker guilty on all four counts in March. The violent incident has drawn attention to safety concerns in local encampments.

This sentencing marks a significant conclusion in a case that highlights ongoing issues surrounding homelessness and violence.
