Man from Osage, MN Dies in Ice Fishing Accident in Becker County, Identified as Jerry Keith Buhr (67)

BECKER COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) A man died early on this Saturday morning, after he wound up in open water with his ATV on Big Toad Lakes 18 miles east of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. The victim has now been identified as 67-year old erry Keith Buhr, Osage, MN.
we had a man die in an ice fishing accident early on this Saturday morning on big Toad Lake in Becker County Minnesota this is east of Detroit Lakes this in from the Becker County Sheriff’s Office uh December 23rd today 205 a.m. they received a report of a man who had not returned home from fishing near his residence on big Toad Lake approximately 18 mies East of Detroit Lakes the male left his residents on West Toad Lake dve the afternoon of December 22nd driving an ATV to his Fish House on big toad after not returning home after several hours along with unanswered phone calls and messages the missing male’s wife contacted the Man’s brother to assistant locating her husband after the brother located a crack in the ice with Open Water she contacted the sh he contact she contacted the sheriff’s office for assistance deputies and emergency Personnel from the wolflake fire Department Detroit Lakes fire department responded with personal flotation gear in a sheriff’s airboat at approximately 322 a.m. on this Saturday Personnel on the Airboat located the victim and ATV which was upside down in approximately four to 5 ft of water the victim was taken uh by ambulance uh to the hospital and uh later pronounced deceased a wolf lake rescue and asenti of St Mary’s EMS also assisted at the seene the victim’s name will be released later due to family notification the incident remains under investigation I’m Neil Berg reporting for in trfnews.i234.me

  1. Good deal, law enforcement and Fire department should STOP helping these idiots who go fishing on thin ice. This is why our government makes laws and rules on just about everything, so many fucking idiots. Stay at home, where they belong.

  2. Catching a fish is not worth anyones life. I have ice fished for many years by one simple rule this may seem harsh. If your stupid your going to die. This is an unusual winter please stay off the ice !!!!!
