Neil Berg here with an update on we had a report of a shooting around 11 30 Friday night some eight miles west of Jamestown uh north of the oil gas terminal along I-94 there um joining me on the phone is the Stetson County Sheriff Chad Kaiser so what can you tell us what happened out there uh uh last night around 11 30 um there was two individuals that were hunting together coyotes um they uh around 11 30 they shot at a coyote uh tie out uh they ran after the coyote um and in doing so they were they had shot at the coyote when they moved together and uh at that point a 26 year old was shot by a 37 year old male both males the 26 year old male was hits somewhat in the pelvic area Jamestown ambulance was called we were called the male has since been transferred by air to Fargo and that’s what we know right now everything is under investigation looking like preliminary results is looking like this was an accident um with two friends that were hunting um and that’s what we know right now all right um is that it appear this wound is life-threatening or is just something that needed to get taken care of at a bigger hospital so far I really can’t say it right now uh so far um from what I’ve been told um we haven’t had any information from the hospital at this time but uh everything is going okay uh but I can’t really say whether it’s life-threatening or not at this time okay uh do you plan to name these guys or yes yep we’ll probably plant uh to get out the names um we’re still investigating it so I’m guessing by Monday we should be able to release uh more information okay um okay thanks for talking to me you bet thanks Neil take care I’m Neil Berg reporting for itrfnews.i234.me
