MOORHEAD, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Moorhead police have arrested Jamal Ahmed, 35, in connection with the murder of Franky Torres, 37. The incident occurred early Wednesday morning at around 3:20 a.m. on the 900 block of 18th Street South. Officers responding to a shooting report found Torres critically injured and transported him to Sanford by ambulance, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Ahmed is being held at the Clay County Correctional Facility on charges of felony second-degree murder. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) is assisting with the investigation, which authorities believe to be an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the community.
