FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – Nicholas Bruesch, a resident of Mapleton, North Dakota, is in custody on Memorial Day after allegedly attempting to intentionally run over a pedestrian on Sunday afternoon. Fargo police responded to the scene near the 200 block of 8th Avenue North, where a vehicle-pedestrian collision occurred. It was determined that the incident was deliberate, leading to the issuance of a temporary felony warrant for Bruesch’s arrest.

The pedestrian sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. West Fargo police located Bruesch’s vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but he fled, eventually abandoning his vehicle and fleeing on foot. He was apprehended by West Fargo PD along the Cheyenne River and charged with reckless endangerment based on the warrant issued by Fargo police.

More details are expected to emerge on Tuesday when formal charges are filed.
