BIWABIK, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A severe storm caused significant damage around Biwabik, Minnesota, leading to closures and disruptions. Giants Ridge Resort in Biwabik had to close one of its golf courses and other facilities due to the extensive damage from Tuesday night’s storm.
The storm also caused a major washout that severed the water supply to the area. The Gilbert Police Department responded to the washout, which affected the City of Biwabik Utilities and Minnesota Energy Resources.
Flooding from the storm has washed out roads in northeastern Minnesota, leading to travel advisories. Some areas experienced power outages during the storm.
Heavy rainfall was recorded, with some places seeing more than 7 inches of rain.
