Mahnomen County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A Mahnomen man with a lengthy history of DWIs and court no-shows is once again in legal trouble after crashing a truck while high on methamphetamine.

According to a criminal complaint, Scott Edward Warren, 45, crashed a gray Dodge Ram 1500 off Highway 200. The wreck scattered debris across a ditch. Warren told officers he “must have dozed off” and admitted to using meth three days prior and Suboxone.

Troopers found:

  • His driver’s license was canceled as inimical to public safety

  • The truck’s insurance had lapsed

  • Registration had expired since June 2023

A blood test confirmed the presence of methamphetamine and amphetamine. Warren now faces four charges:

  1. Gross Misdemeanor DWI – Schedule I/II Drugs

  2. Driving After Cancellation

  3. Uninsured Vehicle

  4. Expired Registration

This follows another pending 2nd-degree DWI case and a warrant for failure to appear in court. He also missed court on at least five prior occasions, raising serious public safety concerns.
