Mahnomen County (trfnews.i234.me) – George Robert Taylor, 37, of Mahnomen, is facing felony domestic assault charges after allegedly attacking his longtime partner in front of their two children on July 10, 2025.
According to a criminal complaint, police responded to a domestic incident. The victim told authorities that Taylor pushed her to the ground, poured a drink on her, and took her sweatshirt and keys while intoxicated. She stated they had been in a relationship for eight years and have two children together.
Surveillance video reviewed by police showed Taylor running toward the victim, pushing her to the ground, and kicking her repeatedly—all while children were nearby.
Taylor returned to the residence later and was arrested. Officers noted the odor of alcohol on his breath.
The complaint notes Taylor has a prior felony domestic assault conviction, elevating this new charge to a felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.
