Popple Grove Township, Mahnomen County (trfnews.i234.me) — A head-on crash on icy Highway 59 in Mahnomen County sent seven people to area hospitals Sunday evening — including two young girls — in one of the most chilling weather-related collisions of the day.
The crash occurred at 7:08 p.m. when a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado, heading northbound, collided with a 2024 Buick Encore traveling southbound near mile post 293.

Everyone was wearing seatbelts, and no alcohol was involved, according to officials.
